The brands Poncho®, Poncho/VOTiVO® and ILeVO® seed treatments were migrated into BASF systems August 1, 2018, and will not be affected.

A new tax-exemption certificate made out to BASF Corporation and dated on or after the July 1, 2019, will need to be filed to ensure that purchases for the products listed below will continue to bill tax exempt.

Customer Service will contact accounts for completed certificates. All completed certificates should be emailed to APN_WorldAccount@basf.com.

Credit

  • There is no need to reapply for credit. BASF will establish credit limits with all active customers as of closing. This will be in line with the existing credit limit that was in place before the closing of the transaction.
  • BASF reserves the right to review credit limits based on pertinent information to a customer’s credit situation. Any such discussions would occur between the BASF credit team

Technical & Regulatory

Registration transfer of the products BASF acquired from Bayer is progressing at the Federal and State levels. Until this process has been completed, BASF will be providing you with products that have Bayer labelling, as required by the authorities. You can expect to start seeing products with BASF labels in early 2020.

Business Terms & Agreements

If applicable, you will receive a separate notice regarding the transfer of your contracts. The business terms of your contracts will not be affected by the transfer.

Where do I find the BASF terms and conditions of sale?
Standard BASF Terms and Conditions have been updated for the acquired products. These are available on our customer information portal and from your BASF field sales representative.

Sales & Inventory Reporting

AGDATA will continue to collect sales and inventory transactions for the 2019 market year for Liberty®, Rely® and Finale®, selected seed brands and traits including Stoneville®, FiberMax®, InVigor® and Credenz®.  AGDATA will validate transactions and perform monthly and year-end reconciliation. However, some reporting connection changes are required as follows.

Customers transmitting sales and inventory in an XML PMR and IAU format via BASF Agricultural Solutions US LLC (Seeburger/TCS/IP Address 213.144.1.42) will be required to start reporting to BASF Corporation as of July 1, 2019, as the Seeburger/TCS connection will no longer be available.

  • BASF Corporation will receive the sales and inventory transactions
  • Transmit sales and inventory using the same version that you are submitting transactions for chemical
  • BASF will route to AGDATA for validation and monthly and year-end reconciliation processes
  • AGDATA will remain your EDI/XML primary point-of-contact
  • AGDATA will provide a new Material id master
  • On July 1, 2019, start reporting the new Material id
  • New GTINs will be loaded in AGIIS
  • BASF does not currently accept GTINs

Customers transmitting sales and inventory via third party providers using F4F Meppel EDI or AGDATA eTRAFX EDI have an option:

Continue to report in the same manner as you do today through the 2019 market year as those methods report directly to AGDATA

  • No changes in the envelope information
  • AGDATA will remain your EDI/XML primary point-of-contact
  • AGDATA will provide a new Material id master
  • On July 1, 2019, start reporting the new Material id
  • AGDATA will accept the old Material ID through the current market year

Start reporting directly to BASF Corporation as of July 1, 2019.

  • BASF will route to AGDATA for validation and monthly and year-end reconciliation processes
  • AGDATA will remain your EDI/XML primary point-of-contact
  • AGDATA will provide a new Material id master
