Pattern of damage
Fruit-and storage rot (various fungi) becomes apparent through the spotted and wrinkled appearance of the stored fruit, accompanied by increasing fruit rot (Picture 1). Preventative measures include careful harvesting of the fruit without bruising, optimal selection of the harvest date, and storage of the fruit in a controlled atmosphere (CA-storage).
