Annual seed weed germinating in spring at higher temperatures. Loves fresh, nutrient-rich, humus-rich loam soils in condition.
Cotyledons form on column-shaped to triangular, long stalks (Picture 1). Leaves are short-stemmed, ovate, roughly notched, longer than they are wide with, scattered hair. The flowers are whitish to pale-blue, finely veined, long-stemmed, individually seated in the axils (Picture 2). The seeds are oval, with strongly crinkled on the underside (Picture 3).
